Signs Your PGT Window Replacement Is Failing

• The sash drops or won’t stay open. This is almost always a failed balance spring. In Opa-locka’s salt-air environment, we’ve seen constant-force coils corrode in four to six years, half their inland lifespan. The sash becomes a finger hazard and a security gap.

• Cracked or delaminated frame corners. Thermal expansion stress at the weld, accelerated by Opa-locka’s UV exposure. A hairline crack at the corner will propagate; we replace the sash or the full frame depending on depth.
